We've deliberately scoped what we do and what we don't. Clear boundaries protect you from us pretending we know your state's LSV laws, and protect us from being pulled into disputes that aren't our business.

The questions owners ask first

What is Stralacart?

Stralacart is an amenity rental platform for short term rental owners. It turns letting guests use your golf cart, boat, kayak, or e-bike into one secure flow: the guest e-signs your agreement and uploads proof of insurance; at pickup they verify their ID and a refundable deposit is charged, before the lockbox code is revealed.

Do you provide the legal contract?

We provide templates as starting points for common scenarios (golf cart in FL, kayak waiver, e-bike rental). Your contract is your responsibility. Have your attorney review anything you use, and certify that it's valid in your state before going live.

What happens if a guest damages the cart?

Side by side photo comparison documents the difference between the check out and return photos. You decide whether to keep any of the deposit for damage; we refund the rest. We keep funds only when you confirm. We do not contact the guest on your behalf, that's between you and them.

Which PMS do you work with?

Today, STRala-cart works with any PMS through booking-confirmation forwarding — OwnerRez, Hospitable, Lodgify, Hostfully, Guesty, and Uplisting, plus Airbnb and Vrbo direct — with no API setup, and manual entry always available. Each has a step-by-step setup guide and most owners are importing in about 10 minutes. Native, real-time platform integrations (starting with Hostfully) are on our roadmap — we'll announce availability and pricing as each launches.

Can I offer the cart as a paid add-on instead of bundling it into my nightly rate?

Yes. Each asset can be configured as "Included with stay" or "Optional paid add-on." If you choose add-on, set your daily, weekly, or flat-stay rate. After the guest books the property, Stralacart sends them an opt-in email. If they accept, the cart fee is charged via your own Stripe account and the standard agreement, deposit, and inspection workflow runs. If they decline, nothing happens. Some owners bundle for simpler pricing and stronger search visibility; others run the add-on model for clear cart revenue attribution. Both work. You can switch models any time without affecting bookings already in the system.

Can I use this for an e-bike, kayak, boat, jet ski, or ATV instead of a cart?

Yes. Each asset configures its own deposit amount, contract template, and required verifications. An e-bike rental might skip the driver's license upload. A jet ski might require a boater education card and a higher deposit. An ATV might require a helmet acknowledgment. A boat rental might require a captain's license. The Portfolio tier supports up to 3 properties and 6 assets total.

Does STRala-cart move my money?

No. The refundable deposit is charged to the guest's card at pickup through your own connected Stripe account, and refunded in full after a clean return (refunds take a few business days to post). What if my guest disputes the deposit?

You'll have the signed agreement, the check in photos, the check out photos, the timestamps, and the audit log. We export everything as a single PDF package. We don't contact the guest, file a chargeback dispute, or mediate. That's your conversation, or your attorney's.

How long does setup take?

10 minutes if you're comfortable with software. 1 to 2 hours if you add our $249 recommended onboarding, where a trained specialist sets it up with you. Either way we get you to "first agreement sent to a real guest" before we end the call.

What if I need something more custom?

We do custom setups for property managers running 6 or more units, white label deployments, multi state contract libraries, custom asset workflows, and PMS integrations we don't yet support out of the box. Email hello@stralacart.com with what you have in mind and we'll scope it.

Is the lockbox code safe?

The code is never shown until the guest has signed, shown insurance, paid the deposit, and photographed the asset at pickup. It is revealed only inside that secure step, so the key stays protected until they are ready.

Is my data my data?

Yes. Export anytime in CSV or PDF. Your contracts, your photos, your audit logs. We don't sell data. We don't share it. If you cancel, you can take it all with you.
